# RoostCall (demo)

> Demo store for RoostCall, the solar coop door that counts the flock in, an AIPhoundry test product. Not for sale.

It counts them in. Then it closes.

RoostCall is a solar pop-hole door for backyard flocks. A sensor over the doorway counts every bird in and out, the door closes once the whole flock is home, and your phone hears about any hen still out. At your curfew it closes anyway. This page runs on synthetic test data: checkout is switched off and nothing ships.

This site works for AI agents as well as people. Everything below is public: no account or API key is needed to use it.

## Products

## Ordering as an AI agent

1. Check first: `POST https://coop.aiphoundry.com/api/store/orders` with `{"product_id", "quantity", "dry_run": true}`. Nothing is written; the answer says whether it can be ordered now, the total in cents, and what stops it.
2. Place it: the same call without `dry_run`, with `email`, `ship_to` ({name, line1, line2?, city, region?, postal_code, country}) and an `Idempotency-Key` header. Retrying with the same key returns the same order, never a second one.
3. Pay without a person: add `"payment": {"token": "spt_..."}`, a Stripe shared payment token your user granted you for this seller. Without a token, the answer has `payment.checkout_url` for a person to pay.
4. Keep the returned `token`: `GET /api/store/orders/{order_id}?token=...` follows the order.

Limits for agents on this store: up to $500.00 an order, $2,000.00 a day in all, and 20 units at a time.

Payments are not switched on yet: orders can be checked with `dry_run` but not placed.

Every unit is built by the founder's manufacturer from a design revision that a named engineer signed off, locked to that revision when the order is paid.

## API

- [MCP server](https://coop.aiphoundry.com/api/mcp): Streamable HTTP; tools get_store, get_product, preview_order, place_order, get_order
- [Store as JSON](https://coop.aiphoundry.com/api/store): the site and its products, prices in cents

## Optional

- Can I buy one? Not yet. This is a demo of the AIPhoundry flow with synthetic test results; checkout is off and no units exist.
- Will it fit my coop? Pop-holes 200 to 300 mm wide and 250 to 320 mm tall in a wall 12 to 40 mm thick, with 380 x 800 mm clear around and above the hole. A sill plate makes a taller hole fit.
- What if a hen stays out? At dusk + 15 minutes your phone gets '1 still out' and the door waits. At your curfew (dusk + 45 minutes by default) it closes anyway and tells you how many are out; tap Reopen for 10 minutes to let her in.
- What if it miscounts? When a crossing is too fast, crowded or in low sun to be sure, RoostCall says it isn't sure and waits for the curfew instead of guessing. You can fix the count in the app in one tap.
- Do I need Wi-Fi? Only for the alerts. The door opens, counts and closes on its own without it, and sends what it saved when it reconnects.
- Can I see the app? Yes: roostcall-demo.aiphoundry.com shows the owner app with sample data at each moment of the day.
- What does shipping cost? Shipping is extra, about $11.50 by UPS Ground to US addresses. The battery ships inside the unit as a lithium battery packed with equipment.
- Is there a subscription? No. The app and alerts are included.
